This module is designed to help 2 phase control valve design and modeling calculation based on the ISA[1] methods. It can be applied to large variety of calculation requirements by considering the valve geometry impact, two phase flow, choke flow constrain, and laminar/transitional correction. A link to the valve database provides a quick and easy way of input the valve coefficients. The valve database can be edited by user and the update will be shown without programming effort.
This 2 phase control valve calculation module provides following features and will do following work according to the selections:
- Calculate Cv, Flow Rate, Upstream Pressure or Downstream Pressure
- Handle gas, liquid and two phase flows
- Estimate the geometry impact of inlet and outlet reducers
- Detect choke flow constrain
- Evaluate non-turbulent flow (Laminar or transitional) correction for high viscosity liquid
